HAMILTON, NY – The Hartwick Men's Indoor Track & Field team was in action today at the Class of '32 Invitational hosted by Colgate University. The Hawks finished eighth out of eight teams in team scoring.

Sophomore
Mark Garceau (Lebanon, NJ/North Hunterdon) finished twelfth in 3000m with a season best time of 9:49.17. Sophomore
Sean Waltman (Sayre, PA/Athens) was second in the pole vault with a vault of 3.05 meters. Waltman also took eighth in the 60m hurdles in 10.61 and twelfth in the long jump with a mark of 4.89 meters.

Omar Nelson (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) placed third in the 800m in a season best time of 2:09.06. Senior captain
Nate Benjamin (Vestal, NY/Vestal) ended up fourteenth in the 60m dash in a personal best time of 7.73, fifteenth in the 200m in another personal best of 25.49, and eleventh in the long jump with a mark of 5.04 meters.

Freshman
Chisomaga Emeh (Lagos, Nigeria/Jesuit Memorial College) was sixteenth in the 200m in a time of 26.87 and fourteenth in the 60m dash in 8.06. Junior captain
Harry Helinski (Johnsburg, NY/Johnsburg) placed fifteenth in the mile with a time of 5:06.26. Freshman
Ethan Lee (Tillson, NY/John A. Coleman) finished sixteenth in the 800m in a time of 2:41.58. Sophomore
Will May (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) was eighteenth in mile with a time of 5:45.19.

The men's distance medley relay composed of Helinski, Chisomaga, Nelson and Waltman finished third in a time of 12:55.29.

The Hawks will next be in action on Saturday February 22 to round out the regular season at the Marc Deneault Invitational hosted by Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
