HOUGHTON, NY- The Hartwick Men's Indoor Track & Field team was in action this afternoon for day one of the 2020 Empire 8 Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Houghton College at the Kerr-Pegula Field House. The team is currently in sixth place through the first day of the championships.

Sophomore
Sean Waltman (Sayre, PA/Athens) finished thirteenth in the 60m hurdles in a time of 10.44, breaking the previous school record of 10.45. Waltman finished eleventh in the pole vault in a new season best jump of 3.10 meters. Senior captain
Nate Benjamin (Vestal, NY/Vestal) placed sixteenth in the long jump with a mark of 5.28 meters.

Chisomaga Emeh (Lagos, Nigeria/Jesuit Memorial College), sophomore
Omar Nelson (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) and sophomore
Mark Garceau (Lebanon, NJ/North Hunterdon) finished in sixth with a new season best time of 11:46.31.
