UTICA, NY – The Hartwick Men's Indoor Track & Field team was in action today at the Blue and Orange Invitational and Multi hosted by Utica College. The team finished eighteenth out of nineteen teams in team scoring.

Sophomore
Mark Garceau (Lebanon, NJ/North Hunterdon) finished twelfth in the 5000m with a season-best time of 17:06.45. Sophomore
Sean Waltman (Sayre, PA/Athens) finished seventeenth in the pole vault with a season-best vault of 3.05 meters. Waltman also finished twenty-second in the 60m hurdles in a time of 10.63 and eighty-fourth in the 200m with a time of 26.85.

Omar Nelson (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) placed forty-third in the 800m in a time of 2:13.09. Senior captain
Nate Benjamin (Vestal, NY/Vestal) was twenty-sixth in the 60m dash in a time of 7.94, and seventy-ninth in the 200m in 26.19.

Freshman
Chisomaga Emeh (Lagos, Nigeria/Jesuit Memorial College) finished eighty-third in the 200m in a season-best time of 26.61 and twenty-ninth in the 60m dash in a season-best time of 8.04. Junior captain
Harry Helinski (Johnsburg, NY/Johnsburg) placed fifty-third in the 800m in 2:16.28 and forty-fifth in the mile with a season-best time of 4:58.46. Freshman
Ethan Lee (Tillson, NY/John A. Coleman) took fifty-eighth in the 800m in a time of 2:39.98. Sophomore was sixteenth in the 5000m in 20:28.89.

The men's 4x200m relay team composed of Benjamin, Nelson, Chisomaga, and Waltman finished fifth in a time of 1:45.77, setting a new school record.

The Hawks will next be in action on Saturday February 15 at the Class of '32 Invitational hosted by Colgate University in Hamilton, NY.
