UTICA, NY – The Hartwick Women's Indoor Track & Field team was in action today at the Blue and Orange Invitational and Multi hosted by Utica College. The team finished sixteenth out of eighteen teams in team scoring.
           
Freshman Alyssa Vellekoop (Altamont, NY/Guilderland Central) finished fourteenth in the pole vault with a mark of 2.45 meters. Freshman Miriam Fonjweng (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) placed twenty-second in the 60m dash in a time of 9.65 and twenty-second in the triple jump with a new personal-best mark of 9.63 meters. Fonjweng also finished seventy-fifth in the 200m in a time of 34.75.
           
Junior Lissa Westerman (Newport Beach, CA/Newport Harbor) finished forty-sixth in the shot put with a throw of 7.80 meters and fifty-eighth in the weight throw with a toss of 5.42 meters. Senior Charlotte Lee (Laurens, NY/Laurens) was forty-sixth in the 200m in a time of 29.02 and twenty-third in the 400m in 1:08.52. Sophomore Annie Sullivan (Derry, NH/Pinkerton Academy) finished thirty-seventh in the 800m in a season best time of 2:50.28.
           
Sophomore Anne Baskwill (York, PA/York Suburban) ended up twenty-sixth in the 5000m in an indoor personal-best time of 23:31.77. Freshman Khadijah Fox (Forrest Hills, NY/Forrest Hills) was thirty-first in the 400m in a season-best time of 1:13.09 and sixty-sixth in the 200m with a season-best time of 31.76.
           
Senior Abby Meltzer (Holliston, PA/Holliston) placed thirty-third in the 3000m in a season-best time of 15:09.23. Sophomore Taylor King (Rock Hill, NY/Monticello) recorded a twenty-third place finish in the mile in a season-best time of 6:39.46. Freshman Aaliyah Solis-Castillo (Pasadena, CA/Alverno) was forty-sixth in the 800m in a season-best time of 3:19.51.
           
Sophomore Hannah Bosman (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) placed fourteenth in the 60m dash in a time of 9.25 and sixty-fourth in the 200m in 31.22. Freshman Ashtyn Allen (Athens, PA/Athens) placed forty-ninth in the shot put with a throw of 6.14 meters and fifty-ninth in the weight throw with a toss of 4.87 meters.
           
Freshman Miracle Cooper (Providence, RI/Times2 Academy) finished twenty-first in the 60m dash in a time of 9.46 and seventy-fourth in the 200m in 34.03. Sophomore Eryn Thompson (Chittenango, NY/Chittenango) took forty-fifth in the 800m in 3:11.07. Sophomore Skylar Watts (Rome, NY/Vernon-Verona -Sherrill) was twenty-third in the 60m dash in a time of 9.85 and seventy-second in the 200m with a season-best time of 32.60. Sophomore Danielle Bagley (Rushville, NY/Marcus Witman) finished thirty-second in the 3000m in a time of 14:13.47.
           
The women's 4x200m relay team composed of Bosman, Fox, Cooper, and Lee finished sixth in a time of 2:02.87. The women's distance medley relay (1200, 400m, 800m, and 1600m) team composed of King, Sullivan, Thompson, and Bagley placed fourth in a time of 16:17.0.
           
The Hawks will next be in action on Saturday February 15 at the Class of '32 Invitational hosted by Colgate University in Hamilton, NY.
