Cortland, NY- The Hartwick Men's Outdoor Track & Field team was in action today for the Central New York College Challenge. The meet was hosted by SUNY Cortland at the SUNY Cortland Stadium Complex.
Senior
Sean Waltman (Sayre, PA/Athens) finished twelfth in the 110m high hurdles with a season best time of 19.76. Waltman also finished thirteenth in the pole vault with a new personal best vault of 3.25 meters. Sophomore
Armani Banton (Beacon, NY/Marlboro) finished sixth in the 100m dash with a time of 11.71. Junior
Chisomaga Emeh (Lagos, Nigeria/Jesuit Memorial College) finished nineteenth in the 200m dash with a time of 26.18 and twelfth in the 100m dash with a time of 12.46. Sophomore
Ross Arvin (Richmondville, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) finished ninth in the shot put with a throw of 9.96 meters and eleventh in the discus with a toss of 24.02 meters.
Senior
Caleb Mallery (Endicott, NY/Union Endicott) finished first in the 5000m with a time of 17:06.45. Sophomore
Joe Catalano (Chester, NY/Chester) finished eighth in the 400m with a season best time of 53.44 and eighteenth in the 200m dash with a time of 25.82. Senior
Mark Garceau (Lebanon, NJ/North Hunterdon) finished second in the 5000m with a season best time of 17:48.40. Sophomore
Kevin Mason (Galloway, NJ/Holy Spirit) finished sixteenth in the 200m dash with a time of 25.52. Mason also finished twelfth in the 400m with a new personal best time of 1:00.06.
The Hawks will close out the regular season this Saturday April 30, for the Capital District Classic hosted by the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.
