Troy, NY- The Hartwick Men's Outdoor Track & Field team was in action today for the Capital District Classic. The meet was hosted by the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at the Ned Harkness Field & Track. The men's team finished eleventh in team scoring.
Sophomore
Ross Arvin (Richmondville, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) finished ninth in the shot put with a new personal best throw of 11.10 meters. Arvin also finished twentieth in the discus with a toss of 25.27 meters. Senior
Sean Waltman (Sayre, PA/Athens) finished nineteenth in the long jump with a season best mark of 5.17 meters. Sophomore
Armani Banton (Beacon, NY/Marlboro) finished twelfth in the 100m dash with a time of 11.87. Banton also finished third in the high jump with a jump of 1.65 meters.
Junior
Chisomaga Emeh (Lagos, Nigeria/Jesuit Memorial College) finished fourteenth in the 200m dash with a new personal best time of 25.66. Freshman
Aidan Freda (Westtown, NY/Minisink Valley) finished tenth in the 3000m in a time of 10:15.82.
Freshman
Corey Quomony (Aberdeen, MD/Bel Air) finished seventeenth in long jump with a season best jump of 5.46 meters. Sophomore
Joe Catalano (Chester, NY/Chester) finished ninth in the 400m with a new personal best time of 52.89 and eleventh in the 200m dash with a time of 25.35. Senior
Mark Garceau (Lebanon, NJ/North Hunterdon) finished twelfth in the 5000m with a time of 17:48.47. Sophomore
Kevin Mason (Galloway, NJ/Holy Spirit) finished twelfth in the 200m dash with a time of 25.58. Mason also finished sixteenth in the 400m with a new personal best time of 58.39. Senior
Will May (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) finished a sixteenth in the 3000m with a time of 12:20.26.
The 4x100m Relay composed of Banton, Waltman, Mason, and Chisomaga finished fourth in a time of 47.54.
This was the final meet of the Hawks 2022 outdoor track and field regular season. The Hawks will be in action next Friday May 6, for day one of the 2022 Empire 8 Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Nazareth College in Rochester, NY.
