Men's Outdoor Track and Field | 5/7/2022 8:22:00 PM

Rochester, NY- The Hartwick Men's Outdoor Track & Field team was in action today for the final day of the 2022 Empire 8 Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The meet is being hosted by Nazareth College at their Stadium Track and Field complex. The men's team placed seventh in team scoring.

Senior Sean Waltman (Sayre, PA/Athens) finished thirteenth in the 400m hurdles in a time of 1:10.54. Sophomore Armani Banton (Beacon, NY/Marlboro) finished ninth in the high jump with a mark of 1.70 meters. Senior Caleb Mallery (Endicott, NY/Union Endicott) finished sixteenth in the 10000m with a time of 17:34.32. Senior Mark Garceau (Lebanon, NJ/North Hunterdon) finished eighteenth in the 5000m with a time of 18:02.30. Sophomore Ross Arvin (Richmondville, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) finished fourteenth in the shot put with a throw of 10.07 meters.

The 4x400m Relay composed of Waltman, Sophomore Joe Catalano (Chester, NY/Chester), Sophomore Kevin Mason (Galloway, NJ/Holy Spirit), and Junior Chisomaga Emeh (Lagos, Nigeria/Jesuit Memorial College) finished sixth in a season best time of 3:54.56.
The 4x100m Relay composed of Banton, Freshman Corey Quomony (Aberdeen, MD/Bel Air), Mason, and Waltman finished fifth in a season best time of 47.05.

Today meet marks the end of the 2022 Outdoor Track and Field Season. The Hawks will return next fall for the 2022 cross country season.
