ONEONTA, N.Y. – Hartwick College Head Field Hockey Coach, Erin Autera recently announced the hiring of Emily Raymond as the program's next assistant coach.
Raymond goes from one hill in Oneonta to the other after a four-year playing career and two-year coaching career at SUNY Oneonta.
"The team and I are thrilled to have Emily join our 'Wick Field Hockey family this fall," commented Autera. "She knows the City of Oneonta extremely well from her time playing and coaching at SUNY Oneonta. We can't wait for her to share her field hockey knowledge on and off the field."
As an assistant, Raymond assisted with all aspects of the Red Dragons program, planning and coaching specific strategies and skills to support the development of the players.
During her playing career, Raymond was named SUNYAC 2
nd Team All-Conference in 2019 and 2021. She also served on the conference's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
"I am excited to be a part of the Hartwick Field Hockey program," remarked Raymond. "This family has a rich history of traditions and a culture that values hard work. I cannot wait to learn from Coach Autera and help continue the program's success."
