ONEONTA, N.Y. – Today the National Field Hockey Association (NFHCA) announced their 2024 Division III Scholars of Distinction.
The NFHCA Scholars of Distinction program recognizes and highlights the academic achievements of student-athletes who have earned a cumulative 3.9 GPA or higher through the fall 2024 semester.
This year, the program features over 550 student-athletes, three of which represent the Hartwick Hawks. Among these honorees is sophomore Natalie O'Malley (Pleasantville, N.Y. / Pleasantville), who has landed on the list for her second consecutive year. Also joining O'Malley are first year players Makayla Bales (Sidney, N.Y. / Sidney) and Tessa Cox (Poughkeepsie, N.Y. / Our Lady of Lourdes).
All three of these honorees have also been named to the NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad.
