ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Hartwick Women's Tennis program has been recognized as an ITA All-Academic Team, as well as six Hawks achieving ITA Scholar-Athlete status, awarded by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

In order to be eligible for ITA Scholar-Athlete status, student-athletes must post a minimum grade point average of 3.5 or above and be included in the institution's eligibility form.

Alexandra Krasinska (Pine Island, N.Y.) , Colleen Marsh (Marcellus, N.Y.), Jess Waldmann (South Glens Falls, N.Y.), Lily Vanuga (Springville, N.Y.), Maggie Van Valkenburgh (Highland, N.Y.), and Samantha Lantzy (Valatie, N.Y.) were all awarded with this prestigious honor.

Coach Butcher's squad achieved ITA All-Academic Team status by surpassing the minimum grade point average of 3.2, cementing their successes both on and off the courts. The Hawks captured their second Empire 8 title in three years with a 5-0 triumph over SUNY Geneseo in October.

The Hartwick Women's Tennis team will look to defend their Empire 8 conference crown, opening their 2025-26 slate with a home matchup against the Red Dragons of SUNY Oneonta on Thursday, August 28 at 3:30 PM.
