Parker Laurin (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) and Marquis Jones-McKinney (Astoria, N.Y.) have been named Hawks of the Week following standout performances. Laurin earns her first honor of the 2026 campaign, while Jones-McKinney collects his second nod of the season.
Coming off a strong debut year, Laurin did not disappoint in Hartwick Women's Lacrosse's season opener at Manhattanville on Friday. She scored a career-high six goals and added two assists for a personal-best eight points. Laurin recorded a hat trick in the first quarter alone, powering the Hawks to a 21-9 victory over Manhattanville.
Laurin and the Hawks will travel to Kean University for a 1 p.m. draw against the Cougars on Saturday, February 28, in Union, N.J.
Jones-McKinney closed out his indoor regular season in impressive fashion at Cornell's Marc Deneault Invitational on Saturday, breaking his personal record in the high jump. He cleared 1.98 meters (6 feet, 5 inches) to win the event for the second time this season, outperforming several Division I competitors.
Jones-McKinney and the Hawks will open postseason competition at Nazareth University in the Empire 8 Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, February 27, and Saturday, February 28, in Rochester, N.Y.
