HARTWICK, N.Y. - Freshman Kelsey Bollen (Wappingers Falls, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) of the women's soccer team was named the Empire 8 Co-Defensive Player of the Week, as annouced by the conference office on Monday. This is her first weekly honor this season. 

Bollen accomplished two back-to-back shutouts in net against St. Lawrence and Nazareth, making 13 saves on 21 shots over the span of both games. She stopped four shots in a scoreless draw against St. Lawrence on Wednesday. On Saturday, she stopped all nine shots on goal she faced, including six in the second half in a 1-0 win over Nazareth for Hartwick's first conference win of 2026.

The Hawks currently sit at 1-3-2, 1-1 and next host Utica on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at Elmore Field for a 7 p.m. start.
