Gourdine Advances to 60m Hurdle Finals With Personal Best Time

HOUGHTON, NY- The Hartwick Women's Indoor Track & Field team was in action this afternoon for day one of the 2020 Empire 8 Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Houghton College at the Kerr-Pegula Field House. The team is currently in sixth place through the first day of the championships.
           
Senior captain Tylisha Gourdine (Holly Springs, NC/Watertown) finished fifth in the 60m hurdles preliminary round in a new personal best time of 10.53. Gourdine will advance to the final round tomorrow at noon during day two of the championship meet.
           
Freshman Miriam Fonjweng (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) finished tenth in the long jump with a new personal best jump of 4.23 meters. Senior Charlotte Lee (Laurens, NY/Laurens) placed fourteenth in the preliminary round of the 60m dash in a new personal best time of 8.45.
           
The Hawks will next be in action tomorrow for day two of championships.
