HOUGHTON, NY- The Hartwick Women's Indoor Track & Field team was in action today for day two of the 2020 Empire 8 Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Houghton College at the Kerr-Pegula Field House. The team finished sixth place in team scoring.

Senior captain
Tylisha Gourdine (Holly Springs, NC/Watertown) finished fifth in the 60m hurdles finals in a new personal best time of 10.40. Gourdine is the first Hawk track and field athlete to score individual points at the conference championships since the program was re-founded in 2018. Gourdine also finished thirteenth in the 200m dash in a season best time of 28.10.

Miriam Fonjweng (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) finished seventh in the triple jump with a jump of 9.51 meters. Senior
Charlotte Lee (Laurens, NY/Laurens) took fifteenth in the 200m dash in a new personal best time of 28.29.

The women's 4x400m relay composed of Gourdine, sophomore
Annie Sullivan (Derry, NH/Pinkerton Academy), sophomore
Hannah Bosman (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott), and Lee placed sixth in a new season best time of 4:36.41. Â

Today's championship meet marks the conclusion of the 2019-2020 Indoor Track & Field season. The Hawks will next be in action for the start of the outdoor season on March 28 for the Mount Saint Mary College Invitational in Marlboro, NY.
