Cortland, NY- The Hartwick Women's Outdoor Track & Field team was back in action today for day two of the SUNY Cortland Classic. The meet was hosted by SUNY Cortland at the SUNY Cortland Stadium Complex
Freshman
Giovanna Wall (West Hurley, NY/Onteora) finished third in the heptathlon with 2630 points total over the two day event. Wall completed the long jump with a jump of 4.15 meters and the javelin with a personal best toss of 20.86 meters. She rounded out the seventh and final event, the 800m, with a time of 3:02.23. This was Wall's first collegiate multi event. The heptathlon will be an Empire 8 Championship level event in the 2022-2023 school year.
Freshman
Estianna Merchant (Bronx, NY/Women's Academy of Excellence) finished fifth in the high jump with a new personal best jump of 1.37 meters. Junior
Ashtyn Allen (Athens, PA/Athens) finished twenty-seventh in shot put with a mark of 6.76 meters. Allen also finished twenty-sixth in discus with a new personal best toss of 18.92 meters. Senior
Annie Sullivan (Derry, NH/Pinkerton Academy) finished fourteenth in the 400m with a time of 1:14.50.

Sophie Ridgway (Albany, NY/Bethlehem), Sophomore
Sophia Kehr (Charlotte, VT/Charlotte Valley Union), Senior
Eryn Thompson (Chittenango, NY/Chittenango), and Sullivan finished fifth in a time of 12:36.50.
The Hawks will be back in action this Tuesday April 26, for the Central New York College Challenge hosted by SUNY Cortland in Cortland, NY.
