Giovanna Wall (West Hurley, N.Y.) set the Hawks on the right path, setting a new personal record of 113 feet and eight inches in the hammer throw event to open up the day.

Pepita Graham (Schenectady, N.Y.) represented the Royal Blue and White in the opening track event, setting a personal best of 13.18 seconds in the 100 meter dash.

Julia Weinschreider (Williamson, N.Y.) continues to have a stellar season, shattering the college record set by herself once again, shaving off two seconds, clocking in at 12 minutes and 41 seconds.

Molly Corbett (Kings Park, N.Y.) wrapped up Day One for the women, collecting a season best in the 100 meter hurdles event with a finish of 18.08 seconds.

First Year standout Cody Bazemore (Bel Air, Md.) made a statement in his championship debut, taking a spot on the podium in the long jump event. Bazemore secured All-Conference honors, posting a final marking of 22 feet, placing third.

Patrick Conteh (Salisbury, Md.) barreled his way through the 400 meter event, posting a lifetime personal best of 51.68 seconds.

The Hawks will return to SUNY Brockport for the final day of the Empire 8 Outdoor Track and Field Championships, decathlon events will mark the start of Day Two at 10AM.
