Hartwick Athletics Hall of Fame
Chase has long dedicated a substantial amount of his considerable energy to ensuring the continued vibrancy of Hartwick College athletics.
Among his important contributions, Chase served as the team captain of the College's inaugural alumni phonathon, as the local co-chair of the Reignite the Wick campaign, two separate terms on the Alumni Association Board of Directors, the Wick Athletic Association Board of Directors, and as a team captain for the Hartwick College Capital Campaign in 1982-83.
He has received the Alumni Association Meritorious Service Award (2009) and has twice been given the Millecan Award (1985 and 2004).
Earlier in 2011, Chase was awarded the Hartwick College Citizens Board Citizen of the Year award.
"There are few individuals who rival Cal Chase in their steadfast devotion to Hartwick College," said President Dr. Margaret L. Drugovich. "His loyalty to the College is surpassed only by his singular commitment to the Hartwick College soccer program."
