Nicole Fish '00 played a major role for Hartwick field hockey in three NCAA Tournament appearances, four New York State Women’s Collegiate Athletic Association berths, two state titles, and 65 victories from 1996-1999.

In her first season, Fish tallied nine goals and two assists, helping the Hawks to 20 wins, an NYSWCAA Championship, and a historic run to the NCAA Division III Tournament title game.

In 1998, she would contribute eight goals and six assists in a season in which ’Wick won its second state crown in three years and made a return trip to the national tournament. She would earn NYSWCAA First Team and National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Region First Team honors for her efforts.

Fish would continue to accumulate accolades in her senior season after a 12-goal, 25-point season which was highlighted by yet another NCAA Tournament appearance. She was again a First Team All-State and All-Region selection and she added NFHCA Third Team All-America honors to her list of accomplishments.

A three-time NFHCA All-Academic Squad recipient and an NYSWCAA Scholar Athlete Award winner, Fish graduated ranked fifth in both career points (86) and career goals scored (37). At the time of her induction, she still ranked seventh in goals and eighth in points in the esteemed history of Hartwick field hockey.
