Hartwick College Athletics

Gahres led Hartwick to four consecutive NCAA Division II playoff appearances from 1975 through 1978. He earned All-American honors after his junior and senior seasons as he averaged 18.4 and 17.5 ppg, respectively.

At the time of induction, he ranked fifth in career scoring with 1,455 points and fourth in career assists with 483.

He was named to the ECAC Weekly honor roll 16 times during his career. Hartwick posted a record of 84-14 in Gahres' four years on the hill.
