Ian McIntyre, a 1995 All-American and a two-time captain, was one of the top sweepers to ever play for the men's soccer team.

Despite playing sweeper, McIntyre finished his career with 18 goals and 10 assists. Arguably the best header of the ball to wear a Hartwick uniform, he was a clutch scorer as well.

Hartwick had a 52-20-7 record and made two trips to the NCAA Tournament in McIntyre's four years. He played in the Umbro Select Soccer Classic.

McIntyre was a three-time GTE Academic All-American award winner. He was a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Hartwick and won the President's Senior Scholar Athlete award.

McIntyre was the Hartwick Male Athlete of the Year in 1995-96 and was also a Harry Mosher Award winner the same year.

At the time of his induction, McIntyre was in his third season as head men's soccer coach at Oneonta State. He served as head men's soccer coach at Hartwick from 2003 to 2009 and now pilots the men's program at Syracuse.
