John Terry was a three-sport athlete for Hartwick, competing in football, basketball and baseball.

He shone the most as a catcher on the Warriors baseball team, where he was a four-year starter. He led the team in hitting in 1939 with an amazing .516 batting average as the Warriors cleanup hitter.

He keyed the Warriors to a 13-game winning streak in 1938-1939 and later went on to play professional baseball in the Can-Am league.

Terry was also a four-year starter on the football team as a guard, and played two seasons of basketball at Hartwick.
