Hartwick Athletics Hall of Fame
Sheri Johnson '04 was the second player in the history of the Hartwick water polo program to earn All-America honors.
Suiting up for the Hawks from 2001-2004, Johnson ended her career as the program leader in points (355), goals (264), steals (231), was second in assists (91), while helping the team to a record of 103-43 and four Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Northern Division Championships.
In her junior season, she posted 73 points on 55 goals and 18 assists en route to earning Northern Division Player of the Year and American Water Polo Coaches Association (AWPCA) honorable mention All-America accolades.
The following season, Johnson tallied 85 goals and 18 assists for 103 points, helping the Hawks to a College record 33 wins, the program’s first CWPA Eastern title, and its first NCAA Tournament appearance. For her efforts, she was tabbed the Eastern Championships Most Valuable Player and a Third Team All-America.
At the time of her induction, Johnson still ranked second in career goals, third in steals, and fourth in points in the Hartwick record books.
